                                  THIS IS US

This is Us is about the lives and connections of several people who all share the same birthday and the ways in which they are similar and different. The series follows twins Kate and Kevin along with their adopted brother Randall as their lives intertwine. Kate and Kevin were originally part of a triple pregnancy, however their biological brother was stillborn. Their parents, intent on bringing home three babies, decided to adopt another newborn (Randall) who was born on the same day and brought to the same hospital after his biological father abandoned him at a fire house. Episodes weave through the past and present of the characters. This Is Us is a refreshingly honest and provocative series. In my opinion This Is Us in my opinion is the best show of the fall season. Tune in Tuesday nights at 9:00. I promise you won't be disappointed!

For starters.. I LOVE THIS SHOW! I agree that it is the best show of this season and has gotten excellent reviews. I love how diverse it is, and all of the controversial topics they touch upon. I really like your grammar point as well, it's a great way to teach Proper nouns, and to learn about your students!

  2. Great entry highlighting a contemporary American TV show. I also like how you promoted the students to fill in proper nouns by giving them example hints as to what constitutes a proper noun, rather than just having them think of one from scratch. Great starter exercise introducing proper nouns! From this you can build upon and ask then to give more examples of proper nouns off the top of their head since now the grammar point would be well understood.
